Ralph Betts

Ralph Betts, 82, of Great Falls passed peacefully on October 31st at Peace Hospice of natural causes. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., at the Community Church of God located at 3300 3rd Ave No.

Ralph was born in Stockett, MT to Harold Betts and Anne Wick. Ralph attended Betts School until 8th grade, then moved to Centerville to live with Grandma Wick, and attend Centerville High School until he graduated in 1951. After high school Ralph joined the Navy and served 4 years. While in the Navy Ralph served on The U.S.S Carpenter and on the V.E. Horton as a Boiler Technician. While serving in the Navy Ralph received the Good Conduct Metal and accommodations for Korean Service, United Nations, China Service and National Defense. Upon returning from the Navy Ralph began work at ACM until its closing in 1980. During his employment at ACM he met and married the love of his life, Bernice Carver. From this blessed union came one handsome son. After ACM closed Ralph did many odd jobs for about 4 years, when he started work for MSU until 1994. It was in 1994 when he took a year and half sabbatical and did a coffee route, which he love so much. In 1996 Ralph began work at Walmart where he worked as a sales associate in sporting goods and in lawn and garden. Ralph worked at Walmart until his retirement in 2012.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and long drives. He was known to all, as Jack Of All Trades.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Bernice Betts, son; Bruce (Julie) Betts of Virginia Beach, VA where Bruce works for Fairbanks Morse, from 1984 to current. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Zach and Hailey Betts, both of Virginia Beach, VA.
