She graduated from Belt Valley High School in May 1941 and then attended secretarial school in Great Falls. Thelma met Rudy Harms when he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. A courtship ensued and they were married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in September 1945.

She was a member of MAMIC and NAMIC the local and national mutual insurance companies. In addition she supported Rudy in his Elks and Optimist clubs and was a long standing member of Meadow Lark Country Club. Thelma enjoyed caring for her family and sharing her life with their many friends and neighbors. She loved driving in the surrounding countryside and finding a favorite popcorn stop, traveling the world and taking many cruises with Rudy and of course playing a good card game.

Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband Rudy Harms, her sister, brother, and her parents. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the care Thelma received at Highgate Senior Living and from Peace Hospice.
