Thomas Mitcham

January 27, 1947 ~ August 8, 2014 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Thomas Wayne Mitcham of Great Falls, Montana went to Heaven due to natural causes on 8/8/2014 at the age of 67.

Tom enlisted in the USAF where he worked in the Security Forces squadron. He then moved to Wing Safety where he was an accident investigator. After 25 years, he retired from the USAF and became a civil servant where he worked corrosion control for 15 years. He then “officially” retired to pursue his passion of model railroading, including helping to modify and maintain the Model Railroad layout at the Montana Expo Park. However, his first love was riding motorcycles. He started riding when he was 11, and logged over 800,000 miles in his lifetime. He shared his passion for motorcycles with his family and friends, riding through the countryside on his many motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda Mitcham. He is also survived by his nine children: Jeff (Laura) Ball of Great Falls, Chris (Larami) Ball of Ohio, Brandi (Jared) Davis of Florida, Ronda Ray of Lincoln, Justin (Veronica) Jaeger of Sweden, Victor (Katie) Osweiler serving overseas in the USAF, Nicole Osweiler of Colorado, Tona Mitcham of California, and “Tommy” Mitcham of Idaho. He had 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Sharon (Ross) Burnette of California, his brother John Mitcham of Colorado. He is also survived by his mother Thelma Mitcham of California. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Mitcham.

The Memorial Service will be at Croxford Funeral Home in the Rose Room Chapel on Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 PM, followed by a motorcycle memorial ride to Manchester Cemetery. Any monetary gifts should be given to the local Parkinson’s Foundation.
